PROFESSIONAL EXPERIENCE

Teaching Assistant (September 2008 – Present)

Ontario College of Art and Design

Provide students with assistance in learning all areas of Adobe After Effects in a weekly-taught Intro to Compositing and 2d Animation course.


Animator/Compositer (November 2008 – January 2009)

Nextfilm Productions

Compositing and animation on Supernatural Shorts. Creation of 10, one and a half minute-long 2D animations, as well as providing necessary revisions to previous episodes. Duties include Animation, Compositing, 3D Layering, Particle Effects, Keying, Storyboarding, and Rendering.


Animator/Compositer (June 2008 – November 2008)

Nextfilm Productions

Compositing and animation on “Mini Myth” segment of Urban Legends: Series 2. Creation of 35, minute-long 2D animations. Duties include Animation, Compositing, 3D Layering, Particle Effects, Keying, and Rendering.


Animator (October 2008)

Nuit Blanche ’08: Words Travel FastCommissioned as one of four Toronto artists to bring poetry to life through animation. Collaborated with poet Dani Couture to create two animated poems, Lessons Learned in the County and Atonement. Animations shown over a 12 hours period on more than 300 TTC OneStop screens.  


Studio Assistant (May 2007 – May 2008)

Paulette Phillips, Video Artist

Execution of various advanced technical tasks, including rotoscoping, animation, compositing, non-linear video editing, and digital image manipulation. Consistently learning new software in order to develop projects through to completion. Assistant editor and lead animator/rotoscope artist for The Open (Monster Series), a multi-screen video installation shown in Miami Art Fair and The Danielle Arnaud Contemporary Art in London.

Extensive knowledge of Adobe After Effects, Photoshop, Illustrator, Premiere Pro, Adobe Audition

Working knowledge of Final Cut Pro, Shake, Combustion, 3D studio Max, Poser, Pro Tools, DreamweaverProficient in both Mac OSX and Windows
